    About Me

    Hi, I’m Leah Matyas, LMHC,

    I’m a warm, down-to-earth therapist who believes real change happens when you feel genuinely seen and supported. I’m not a therapist who just nods  I’m interactive, collaborative, and honest. I help you understand what’s keeping you stuck so you can actually move forward.

    My work blends CBT, mindfulness, and practical everyday tools that make life feel more manageable. My goal is to create a calm, supportive environment where you feel heard, understood, and guided.


    My clients tend to be people who:

    • feel overwhelmed or emotionally drained
    • struggle with anxiety or constant overthinking
    • are going through life changes (divorce, moves, job shifts, motherhood)
    • want clarity, boundaries, and confidence
    • are tired of repeating the same emotional patterns
    • want a therapist who is warm AND real

    Who I Help

    I work with adults who are experiencing:

    Anxiety & Overthinking - Constant “what ifs,” racing thoughts, and the pressure to hold everything together.

    Depression & Emotional Overwhelm - Feeling disconnected, unmotivated, or unsure why everything feels so heavy.

    Life Transitions - Divorce, separation, job loss, new beginnings, motherhood shifts, or identity changes.

    Relationship Stress - People-pleasing, communication issues, and struggling to set boundaries.

    Burnout - Trying to do it all and feeling exhausted, resentful, or stuck.

    Warm, Real, & Action-Oriented. My approach is compassionate and grounding, but also practical. You’ll feel supported while also gaining clarity and tools you can use in your daily life.
